Editing drug list

DrugCalc searches for the drug list in your memo pad, therefore you should

run DrugCalc once and it will automatically create two memos in your memo pad.

Once DrugCalc is opened, you should go back to your memo pad where you will find the two new

memos that were created named: [DrugCalc:adult] and [DrugCalc:pediatric].

Each of these memos have a predetermined template, one for adults and one for pediatrics.

These illustrations describe how to create a drug list on the adult template

You can use the same instructions for the pediatric input.

Once you click on [DrugCalc:adult] a template will appear resembling the following illustration. There is a sequence of lines displaying adult1,0,adult2,0,adult3,0,etc. All you have to do is replace the words "adult1,adult2,etc." by the names of the desired drugs and also replace the 0's by the number of mg/kg (usual dose).                                                                                                 The next time that you will run DrugCalc, your drug list should appear, and when you enter a weight and hit the calculate button, DrugCalc will calculate the doses based on your protocol input (mg/kg).

Here is an example of entry.

If you wish to enter tylenol 15mg/kg as a first entry, you should replace adult1 by tylenol and the following 0 by 15.

Here is a sample of what DrugCalc would resemble after multiple entries.
