This program quickly and easily computes performance data for a U.S. Army OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopter (with C-30R/3 engine) in a format similar to a U.S. Army Performance Planning Card (PPC). Specifically, the program calculates the following:

Hover:

• Maximum Torque Available [30 minutes]
• Maximum Continuous Torque Available
• In Ground Effect Hover Torque
• Out of Ground Effect Hover Torque
• Maximum Gross Weight In Ground Effect
• Maximum Gross Weight Out of Ground Effect
• Maximum Rate of Climb/Endurance KIAS
• Maximum Range KIAS

Cruise:

• Vne
• Cruise KTAS
• Cruise Torque
• Cruise Fuel Flow [lbs]
• Maximum Rate of Climb/Endurance KIAS
• Maximum Range KIAS
• Maximum Rate of Climb [fpm]

Also includes the following utility calculations:

• Zero Fuel Weight
• Maximum OGE Hover Height
• Range and Endurance (time & distance)

Inputs Include:

• FAT, PA and GWt
• Skid Height
• KIAS
• Doors On/Off
• Drag Area

Note: All output torque values are given in Mast Torque. The algorithms used in this program have been extensively tested to ensure accuracy, however it is acknowledged that errors, omissions and slight dissimilarity of data between calculated and Operator's Manual charted information exist. In all cases of discrepancies, the aircraft Operator's Manual is the final authority for resolving these disparities. Use this program at your own risk. [Program requires MathLib]
