Thanks for using Bhajis Loops! You will learn in this document how to install the different files required to use Bhajis Loops on the PC as well as on your Handheld device.
When you purchase the application, a registration code will be given to you. Open the "About..." dialog box (Opt or Options / About menu command) and tap on the "Register" button. You can now enter your registration code (18 letters, all lowercase).
Open the directory conduit and click on the conduit installer.bat icon. This will run a small script that will copy all the required files in the HotSync directory. Then, you can remove all the .exe and .dll files of the directory - they are safely copied in the HotSync directory.
SynchroPoolp.exe and SynchroPoolp.dll are the main conduit files. As for the other dll, they are PC versions of the plug-ins allowing you to render songs using plug-ins on the PC.
Finally, if you have WinAMP installed on your PC, you can copy the library in_bhajis.dll in your WinAMP plugin directory (usually, C:\Program Files\winamp\plugins). This plug-in will allow you to play Bhajis Loops songs on your PC!
A new option, "Auto play samples in sample loader" allows the automatic preview of samples in the sample loader dialog.
Modified samples can now be exported as .wav files.
A new tool is available to directly draw on-screen the waveform.
A vu-meter has been added in the "Record" dialog.
Samples can now be directly loaded from SF2 SoundFonts. Note: This function applies to the samples used in the SoundFont ; not to the patches/instruments.
Copy/Paste functions have been added. It is now easy to clone an existing instrument.
Instruments can be layered, and mapped to specific note ranges.
64 instruments are now available.
A new high-pass filtering section has been added to each instrument, which can be combined with the existing low-pass section for interesting effects.
The filter cutoff can now be controlled by the LFO for "growl" or "sweep" effects.
The LFO now offers different waveforms (ramp, square wave, sine wave).
A pattern library function allows you to quickly store and retrieve most frequently used patterns.
A new Flam effect, similar to the "note retrigger" of older sound trackers has been added.
An optional grid display is available. Useful if you want to pretend you are using a spreadsheet program!
New random words have been added to the title generator.
A new Microtuning dialog box allows the modification of the tuning of each note of the scale - useful for ethnic or historic musical experimentents!
A new (visual) alarm function has been added - useful when you need to limit the duration of your performance.
A new "Warp" feature has been added, allowing you to specify transition rules between sections. This is particularly interesting if you are using Bhajis Loops as a backing machine.
The mixer architecture has been redesigned to support 4 effect buses (+ a master effect), Mutes, and Solos.
Global vu-meters can be displayed in the top-right corner of the mixer view.
A "mono mixdown" option is available - if you want to listen to your song through only one earphone.
Several optimization has been added to the mixing engine, in order to increase polyphony.
A playlist has been added to the external player Pioopiooplayer! This application also has a new user interface.
Many Bug Fixes on T5 / Zodiac, and other devices supporting multiple VFS volumes.
The "Restore last screen" and "Save when quitting" options have been merged in "Restore last session".
The preference dialog has been redesigned.
The support of the Clié JogDial has been improved.
A bug has been fixed in the display of the color selection dialog.
The Load/Save dialog now has "Create directory" and "Remove directory" commands.
Chorus, Phaser, Pitch-shifter plug-ins have been added, as well as a nasty buffer lock / software crash effect (Venetian Snares, Kid606 or Fennesz, watch out, we're coming!)
